Lent & Easter Activities

Join us this holy season! Here are some important dates, including some first-time events for BBCC.

March 15/22 - Place your orders during service for lilies and tulips to be displayed in the church for Easter. Flowers will be set up the day before.

March 29 - Palm Sunday service in the chapel at 9:30am.

April 2 - Our first-ever Maundy Thursday pot-luck dinner at 5pm, in the tabernacle.

April 3 - Our first-ever in-house service for Good Friday at 12pm.

April 5 - Two live services for Easter - a sunrise service (time TBA) and a standard service at 9:30am.

Note: All in-house services will be streamed and put up on YouTube.



Lenten Lunches at Noon

Join us at various churches in the area for weekly Lenten Lunches, featuring soup, salad, and a message! All lunches will be held at Noon.

Feb 25 -  Zoar Methodist Church, Selbyville, DE

Mar 4 - Ocean View Presbyterian Church, Ocean View, DE

Mar 11  - Bethany Beach Christian Church (with St Martha’s), Bethany Beach, DE (BBCC is responsible for soup and salad)

Mar 18 -  St. Matthew's by the Sea Methodist Church, Fenwick Island, DE

Mar 25 - St. Ann Catholic Church, Bethany Beach, DE


Donate to the Polar Plunge

Some members of the congregation will be participating in the Lewes Polar Bear Plunge on March 1st, at 1pmdonate here to support them! Funds benefit the Special Olympics.


Food Donations

BBCC is pleased to have donated 314 cans of soup to our local food pantries for "Souper Bowl Sunday"!

Thank you for your continuing support and faithfulness. Local food banks continue to be in need of the following items:

  • peanut butter and jelly
  • boxed potatoes
  • mac and cheese
  • ramen noodles
  • pasta and spaghetti sauce
  • rice
  • boxed cereal
  • instant oatmeal
  • canned soup
  • canned tuna and meat
  • canned vegetables and fruit
  • toilet paper
  • laundry detergent
  • deodorant
  • feminine products 
Donations can be brought to the church Tuesday mornings, from 9am to noon.
